Instant download for patterns now available!

We are very excited to announce that we are now offering instant electronic downloads for patterns which will incur no shipping charges! Please see further details in the Ordering Information section of our site. We will, of course, continue to offer printed patterns via post for those who prefer this option. If you are ordering downloads using your secure Paypal account, please ensure that the email address stored in your Paypal account settings is correct as this is the email to which we will send the patterns. If you use Firefox as your internet browser you may find that the patterns open up in the Firefox PDF viewer rather than Adobe Acrobat which can result in problems when printing patterns out. To fix this, please follow these simple instructions.

Download documents (and some others such as the free patterns on this website) require the use of Adobe Acrobat. A free copy can be obtained by clicking on the image below

Parchment Craft Pattern Packs

The pattern-packs available to buy are listed below. Please follow the links on each title for further details and a picture. Please click here for ordering information.
JM079 Sweet and Simple

Nothing too complicated here - just pretty patterns suitable for many different occasions. Although I have used white ink to trace the designs, they woudl also work with a fine balck drawing pen.

JM078 Artisit's Trading Cards (ATCs)

These mini-patterns, each measuring 3.5” x 2.5”, have been designed as Artist’s Trading Cards but by adding your own favourite border you can make small cards, just right for using up those off-cuts of parchment. Each one has some decoration made with a perforating tool, in case you want to attach the parchment to the backing card by sewing through the holes with invisible thread.

JM077 Mini-Magic

We've seen lots of teenage fairies on this website, but now it's the turn of the younger ones.

JM076 Spain

Two designs inspired when in a holiday mood!

JM075 Cowboys and Indians

The start of a small collection from the Wild West.

JM074 Christmas Fairies

Here are three magical designs for Christmas ... I'm sure there will be more to follow so keep on dropping in!

JM073 Butterflies Galore

Butterflies are always so popular in parchment craft that its about time we had a whole section just for them.

JM072 Cute Creatures

The start of a new set of patterns featuring all things cute!  Keep checking  back for new additions.

JM070 Sporting Friends

A new set of patterns featuring some of our sporting friends.

JM069 Floral Grids

Designs combining our favourite flowers with some simple gridwork.

JM068 Happy Christmas!

Here are fourteen new patterns for Christmas.

JM066 Art Nouveau Designs

Art Nouveau was developed in the 1880’s when artists were inspired mainly by nature to create very stylized designs with curving and interweaving lines.  I’ve enjoyed trying to work in the same way to come up with my own designs on this theme.

JM065 Flower Show

After a visit to our local village flower show, I realised I would never be good enough to enter anything from my garden, so I decided to create my own virtual flower show. I've even awarded prizes! (The judge's decision is final by the way!)

JM064 With Sympathy

When words aren't quite enough, hopefully these designs will help at a sad time. Each pattern has an extra page with alternative sentiments.

JM063 Elegance

These most elegant ladies make perfect cards for almost any occasion. All four patterns are easily traced with a fine black drawing pen.

JM062 Edwardian Charm

These patterns capture some of the glamour of the Edwardian Era.

JM060 Christmas Cheer

Featuring more Christmas designs. Others can be found in collections JM014, JM025, JM027, JM036, JM050 and JM059.

JM059 Christmas Collection

Never too early to start thinking about Christmas cards, here are some new patterns for the festive season.

JM058 Beautiful Hair

Coloured pencils were used to create these intricate hairstyles. I found using harder pencils, rather than blendable pencils, gave a better effect. Each pattern also includes step-by-step pictures to help you achieve 'beautiful hair'.

JM057 Seasons

Seven new patterns depicting the Seasons, each one featuring a simple grid.

JM056 Let's Dance

Five complete patterns featuring ballet and jazz dancers.

JM055 Inspired by the Musicals

We all have our favourite moments from the Musicals. Due to copyright issues, I'm unable to reproduce any of the iconic images we all know, but instead I've tried to capture the sentiment of each musical.

JM054 Let's Go Shopping

A collection of unique shops, these are all designed as slightly larger cards, the finished size without the backing card being approximately 13.5 x 18.25 cm. These designs do not feature any gridwork or painting - just hopefully something you can do for FUN!

JM053 Just Whitework

These designs feature whitework, with the occasional little touch of colour on the reverse, achieved with blendable pencils.

JM052 Gina the Gymnast - and Friends

Greetings cards for the budding gymnast in the family.

JM051 Toyshop

Take a peek in the Toyshop. Some of these designs were first seen in the Parchment Craft magazine. These cards are slightly larger than usual, measuring approx. 13.5 x 18 cm. Designed for beginners these have proved very popular designs.

JM050 Colourful Christmas

Patterns to get you into the Christmas spirit.

JM049 Get Well Soon

Although they are meant to cheer up a sick friend, these designs will work equally well as birthday cards with a simple change of sentiment.

JM048 Baby Talk

We have had some baby cards in Special Occasions but, due to demand, we're starting this special group of patterns with new babies in mind.

JM047 Country Pub Signs

These patterns are inspired by country pub signs.

JM046 Engagement

After the success of our new White Wedding patterns, we have decided to create some 'Congratulations on your engagement' designs.

JM045 White Wedding

Everyone loves a wedding and here are some designs which I hope will complement that special day.

JM044 All At Sea

These patterns are a series with a nautical touch.

JM043 Parchment Boutique

Step into our new ‘Parchment Boutique’ for some glitz and glamour!

JM042 Fantasy Flowers

These patterns are of some more exotic flowers making a more fantastical card.

JM041 Beautiful Basics

These are patterns which just rely on tracing, embossing and colouring with blendable pencils to achieve the finished results. The finished designs are trimmed with a knife and ruler and attached to a coloured backing sheet with decorative brads.  This backing sheet is then stuck to a folded white card with double-sided tape.  More experienced parchment-crafters can always add their own favourite lace border to each design. Where applicable, a sheet is enclosed with the pattern giving hints for achieving better tracing with white ink.

JM040 My Perfect Country Garden

This is an invitation for you to take a walk around my imaginary country garden. It's quite perfect - not a weed to be seen. The flowers bloom all year round and I never get garden pests!

JM039 Village Scenes

This collection features picturesque village scenes.

JM038 Encore - Flower Garden

All designs in the 'Encore' series have previously been published in magazines or appeared as free patterns here on JudithMaslen.co.uk, however due to popular demand I have brought some of the favourite patterns together in these special sets. Here are some flowery designs which have proved popular in the past.

JM037 Romantic Designs

Created to remind you of those special moments in life, these designs could also be used as congratulation cards for engagements or wedding anniversaries.

JM036 Christmas Chic

We thought it was time to add a little 1920’s glamour to the Christmas cards. They are all easily created, using a fine black liner pen for the outline and coloured on the reverse with blendable pencils.

JM035 Wheels

These gleaming classic cars are loved by many in real life. Whilst you may not be able to afford one on your driveway, these cards make fantastic gifts for an enthusiast or just an admirer of all things four-wheeled.

JM034 Favourite Flowers

Flower patterns seem to be in everyone's top-ten list. Here are three of my favourite flowers - hope you like them too! If you like flowers, check out the Flowers for You patterns packs for some other flower-related designs.

JM033 Nature's Beauty

A collection of whitework patterns, some with a small touch of colour.

JM032 Crinolines

Following the popularity of 'The Pretty Maid' pattern in the Country Pub series (JM047-10), here are more 'crinoline ladies'.

JM031 Flower Power

Three whitework patterns, coloured on the reverse with blendable pencils complete the first three, whilst a further three using embossing and colouring on the front complete the collection. Basic tools are used for the lacework or the PCA fine square grid can be used in place of the four-needle tool. If you like flowers, check out the Flowers for You patterns packs for some other flower-related designs.

JM030 Charming Chaps

Following the success of ‘Glamour Girls’ we have provided them with four charming and handsome gentlemen friends.  Each pattern is easily traced with black pen.  Colouring is mainly done on the reverse with blendable pencils.

JM029 Glamour Girls

1920's fashion provides the glamour for this set of patterns. Their costumes are based on real garments of the time. Each design is traced with black pen and then coloured on the reverse with blendable pencils. Let your imagination run riot and change the colours to suit your own tastes.

JM028 Encore - Zoo Time

All designs in the 'Encore' series have previously been published in magazines or appeared as free patterns here on JudithMaslen.co.uk, however due to popular demand I have brought some of the favourite patterns together in these special sets. These patterns feature animals.

JM027 Encore - Christmas Greetings

All designs in the 'Encore' series have previously been published in magazines or appeared as free patterns here on JudithMaslen.co.uk, however due to popular demand I have brought some of the favourite patterns together in these special sets. These patterns are for cards which can be used to celebrate Christmas.

JM026 Celebration Plates

Try making something different for Christmas. Each pattern can be made as a traditional folded Christmas card, or can be perforated around the edge and transformed into a celebration plate by mounting onto blue and gold card. Full instructions are given for this, and also for the plate-stand, made from matching gold card.

JM025 Christmas Wishes

Its never too early to start the Christmas cards. Here are some which I hope might inspire you.

JM024 Victorian Christmas

The first three patterns each include a much larger coloured picture than usual, to help you through the creative process. All three designs are mainly traced with a fine black drawing pen - I used a size 0.1 - and coloured with blendable pencils on the reverse. You can then use well-sharpened pencils to colour on the front, or felt tip pen applied with a paintbrush. In all three patterns, instructions are given for creating the fur-effect on the coat. Patterns 4 and 5 are two more patterns with a Victoria feel, but this time they are smaller (Patt 4 is approx 10cm x 15cm and Patt 5 is approx 9cm x 14.5cm.

JM023 Circles

If you like circular designs but don't own a circular grid, these simple patterns can give a similar look to your cards.

JM022 Narrow-Boat Life

This is the start of a new set of designs inspired by life on canal narrow-boats.

JM021 Oriental - New patterns added - now 6 to choose from!

Oriental designs are always popular. These pattern packs draw on a variety of pretty and unique designs based on an oriental theme.

JM020 Encore - Special Occasions

All designs in the 'Encore' series have previously been published in magazines or appeared as free patterns here on JudithMaslen.co.uk, however due to popular demand I have brought some of the favourite patterns together in these special sets. These patterns are for cards which can be used to celebrate those special occasions.

JM019 The Enchanted Garden - New patterns added - now 9 to choose from!

There are elves at the bottom of my garden and here are just three of them! They are traced in sepia ink, which gives a much softer outline than black, then coloured on the reverse of the parchment with blendable pencils. Now three fairies have joined them, this time traced in black ink.

JM018 Countryside Treasures - New patterns added - now 6 to choose from!

Hidden away in meadows and woodlands are plants and flowers that can suddenly catch your eye and surprise you with their beauty. Here are just six of them.

JM017 Windows

Create your own stained glass window from a choice of  three.  Each design is traced with black ink – most black drawing pens will work on parchment but just to make sure, first dust your parchment with a small amount of talcum powder, rub it well in and then clean it off!  Colouring is done on the reverse with felt pens.  The method of using them is fully described in each pattern.

JM016 Favourite Fans

The fan is an ever-popular subject for parchment craft and I hope you will find these just a little different.

JM015 Beside The Lake

This is a DOUBLE VALUE pack as you get the illustrations and instructions for making these cards on white or black parchment.

JM007 Mainly For Men - New patterns added - now 12 to choose from!

Cards for special occasions for male friends and family can be difficult to find. Hopefully this pack will solve your problems in this regard, though they are equally as appealing for female recipients and enjoyable for you to do too!

JM006 We Love Teddy Bears

Traced in black, then coloured with blendable pencils, these bears are fun to create.  Using the technique of colouring on the back of the parchment gives a soft, muted look to the teddy bears. As an added bonus, they make great nursery pictures to frame, if you enlarge the friendly bears to trace and colour, leaving out the lace borders.

JM005 Keep It Simple - New patterns added - now 6 to choose from!

Just tracing, dorsing and embossing - no complicated lace work involved. If you can trace, you can make it! Plus three more designs which rely on good tracing and embossing for their effect.

JM004 Fruit Salad

Good enough to eat (though we don't advise it!)

JM003 Flowers For You - New patterns added - now 9 to choose from!

A flower fits most occasions and this is the first in a series of pattern packs devoted to all things horticultural. If you like flowers, have a look at the Flower Power pattern packs.

JM002 Pony Club

Not as complicated as they look! Each of the patterns has a diagram showing how you first emboss with the large tool to form the features, then use the stylus to create the mane and hair. To help you even more portions of the finished card are enlarged to show work details.

JM001 The Pond

Don't panic - they're not hard to do! Each pattern has a diagram showing how you first emboss with the large tool to give form and shape, then with the stylus to create the feathers.

JMA1 Parchment Craft Borders for Beginners

When I was a newcomer to parchment craft, I would look longingly at patterns I wanted to do, but because they had complicated perforated border, I never attempted them. Here are 28 pages of complete bordered using only the one-needle and semi-circle tools, plus the star tool. Even if you're not a beginner but just in a hurry to get that forgotten birthday card in the post, you will find these borders quick to achieve. As a bonus, each page also carried a small picture, which could be used inside any of your borders.
