This pattern collection contains twelve complete patterns of ...
Mainly For Men
Cards for special occasions for male friends and family can be difficult to
find. Hopefully this pack will solve your problems in this regard, though they
are equally as appealing for female recipients and enjoyable for you to do too!
- This set of binoculars makes a suitable card for anyone into bird-watching
or sailing. The colouring is done on the reverse with pencils
- The chess piece will give you some good embossing practice as a great way
to say 'Happy Birthday' to a 'check-mate'! The border uses the semi-square
perforating tool and the subtle colouring is once more done on the reverse
with pencils
- A great card for an outdoor
enthusiast, these boots are a tracing challenge in black ink, but the result
is worth it. The same colouring technique is used as in the other two
designs in this set
- The cricket ball and bails are traced in white pencil, embossed, then
coloured on the reverse with felt-tip
pens.
- Nothing lacy or feminine about this design – just an action picture of a
footballer traced in black ink and coloured on the reverse with felt-tip
pens and blendable pencils.
- A good retirement card for a man or woman who feels at
home on the golf course. The tracing is done with black ink and felt tip
pens are used to colour on the reverse.
- A great set of bow-ties for the man-about-town.
This design is traced with black ink and coloured with blendable
pencils. The decorations on the
bow ties can be done with any grid. Use a black insert card, mounted on a
bright red card for a design to catch the eye.
- A much gentler design for the nature-lover. Traced with
white ink* this design is then embossed. If you enjoy whitework, I
hope you’ll like this one.
- A design for the male darts player in the family. This design is traced with black drawing pen
- A design for the female darts player in the family.
Again traced with black pen, but as one for the ladies this design features
some pink daisies and a small amount of cutting in the border.
- Making for the winning post, ‘The Favourite’ is
traced with white ink.* You can use blendable pencils or oil pastels for the colour on the reverse. The simple border is made with the semi-circle tool and decorated
with a white gel-pen.
- If you know someone whose idea of heaven is a calm
pond with the fish eager to jump on the line, then they are bound to
appreciate this card. Traced with white ink * you can use blendable pencils
or oil pastels to colour on the reverse.
* If you find tracing with white ink difficult, you may like to look at
the section "Tracing
with White Ink" on the Hints and Tips Page.
