 | This poinsettia is traced with white ink and embossed, then coloured on
the reverse with blendable pencils. The same treatment is given to the
twisted ribbon border, whilst the blossom is framed with a simple perforated
pattern using the four-needle tool. |
 | The little choirboy singing a song for Christmas is traced in white ink
and then embossed. The lacy border uses only the four-needle tool. |
 | Traced in just sepia and green inks, this red-breasted robin is then
coloured with blendable pencils. The coloured example in the pattern pack is
printed the same size as the pattern, allowing you to lay your traced
picture over the top to help place the colours. |
 | The Church on the Hill is whitework with the church window coloured with
blendable pencils. The semi-square tool is used for the lace designs, but if
you don't have this tool then you can prick over the pattern with a
one-needle tool (see the hints
and tips area of the website for more details) |
 | Christmas Eve is a scene traced with sepia ink then coloured on the
reverse with blendable pencils. The borders can either be made with the four
needle tool or will also fit on the design, without any alteration, if made
on the PCA fine straight grid. |
 | Christmas Pony is a whitework design with full embossing instructions to
help you achieve the desired effect. Two sun tools are used in the design,
but a star tool could easily replace them. A very basic pricked and embossed
trim is made with the PCA bold diagonal grid, but could easily be replaced
with a silver peel-off strip. |
 | The Christmas Fairy seems to be having an enjoyable giggle at the thought
of some Christmas fun to come. The fairy is traced with sepia ink and
coloured on the reverse with blendable pencils. The embossed four-needle
border can also be made on the PCA fine straight grid. Decorate your tree
with stick-on 'jewels'. |
 | The Christmas Window is very simple to make, being traced in white ink,
embossed, and then coloured on the reverse with blendable pencils. The
window panes are cut out and the card is backed with dark blue mirror
card. |
 | Shine a little light this Christmas with a Festive Candle. A very
traditional subject, the embossed candle is surrounded by painted roses. The
example used coloured inks but it would also work with blendable pencils or
felt tip pens. The arched border uses the semi-circle tools and the motifs
around the candle are made with the four-needle tool. |
