Encore - Special Occasions
All designs in the 'Encore' series have previously been
published in magazines or appeared as free patterns here on
JudithMaslen.co.uk, however due to popular demand I have brought some of the
favourite patterns together in these special sets. These patterns are for cards
which can be used to celebrate those special occasions ...
- A pair of pretty booties for a special new arrival! An alphabet is
provided so you can trace of the name of the new baby. You only need an
embossing tool and the semi-circle tool to create the delicate border.
- Use either black or white ink to trace this New Home design. The work is
then embossed and coloured on the reverse with blendable pencils. The simple
perforated border uses the four-needle tool.
- This could be a card for celebrating an engagement, or for passing a
special exam. The semi-circle tool and the star tool are used for making the
border around this glass of 'bubbly'.
- When you really need to say a special ‘thank you’, this delicate
whitework design should convey how you feel. The border is created with the
semi-square tool, then embossed and cut.
- Three cute teddy bears are just dropping in to welcome a New Arrival.
Traced with black pen, the teddies are coloured with felt-tip pens or
blendable pencils. To make it look like a baby’s shawl, the border is an
embossed frill.

Traced with sepia ink or a fine sepia pen, this’new
home’ design is coloured on the reverse with blendable pencils. The border
can either be perforated over the pattern with the four needle tool, or can
be made on a fine square grid.
