Narrow-Boat Life

This is the start of a new set of designs inspired by life on canal narrow-boats  ...  

  1. This colourful blue jug with the cow-parsley behind is traced with black pen, then coloured on the reverse with felt-tip pens. The border uses the four needle tool and the star-tool. 
  2. This goose has come to wake up the occupants of 'Parchment Princess' in their cosy mooring. The picture has been traced with dark brown ink, or you could use black ink. THe goose is embossed and the rest is coloured on the reverse with blendable pencils. The border is made with the semi-circle tool and the star or small sun-tool and can either be cut or embossed. Instructions are given for each method. 
  3. This brightly-painted tall jug is coloured with felt-tip pens. The embossed wild roses are coloured on the reverse with blendable pencils. The border uses the four-needle tool.
