Glamour Girls
1920's fashion provides the glamour for this set of patterns. Their costumes
are based on real garments of the time. Each design is
traced with black pen and then coloured on the reverse with blendable pencils.

- The blue party dress gives plenty
of scope to practice embossing on the folds of the fabric. The semi-circle
tool and the diagonal bold grid are used for the lace panels.
- Autumn leaves make a simple border
around the green winter coat with its elegant fur collar and lining. The
semi-square tool is used for the inner border.
- A flowing scarf and parasol are the
accessories for this summer outfit. The four-needle tool makes the embossed
motifs in the border and the bold diagonal grid is used for the lacy
parasol, decorated with a star-tool edging.
- ‘A cosy coat’ features a snug fur collar. The border uses a semi-square tool and a star or sun tool. To give it an autumn feel, the design also features some 3D leaves.
- ‘The Masked Ball’ has a simple but
effective embossed border.Our glamour girl wears a gold mask and – as with the other designs – is
coloured with blendable pencils.
- 'Walkies'. This very smart outfit is just right
when taking the poodle for a walk around the park. A grid is used in the
border - any one would do, but I used a bold diagonal.
